History / Profile

• 1976 - Mathes Assoc., Inc. was established by three bothers, as a manufacturer's representative firm representing manufacturers of specialty office, filing and storage equipment.
• 1991 - Mathes Assoc., Inc. began making the transition from a manufacturer's representative firm to a value added distributor, specializing in providing shelving & specialty storage systems for the storage and retrieval of files, and for objects and materials that have an intrinsic value.
• 1996 - The name Mathes Solutions was adopted and new division was established to help customers transition their filing systems & business processes from paper based to electronic, through the use of document imaging technology.
• 2002 - The name Shelvingguys was adopted as the name for the shelving and storage division.
• Present - Mathes Assoc., Inc. operates two separate, but synergistic, divisions: Shelvingguys, specializing in custom designed shelving systems for a wide variety of filing & storage applications, and Mathes Solutions specializing in transitioning customers from paper based filing and business process systems to "paperless" systems using current electronic document management technology.
